Sherlock Anonymous

I have now realized that my love for BBC Sherlock is too much and is now almost ridiculously "hilarious to watch" and to some it's also called "obsessive". Wait, WHAT. No. My love for Sherlock is just like how every single one of my friends likes Doctor Who and Supernatural, they love it and enjoy each and every moment of it.... and maybe learn every line to every episode and keep a journal about the show to keep tabs just in case they forget something BUT other than they're totally "normal"! I should create the one and only Sherlock Anonymous, but then again who would want to go to the meetings? Sherlock is amazing in practically every way. Sherlock has Benedict Timothy Carlton Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes. Benedict is going to be the villain in the new Star Trek movie and is also going to be in The Hobbit movie. Martin Freeman who portrays John Watson, is going to be in The Hobbit movie, playing the lead Bilbo Baggins.
I MUST  say something that includes spoilers, but then again, if you've read all of the tales of Sherlock Holmes, this won't spoil a thing for you. In the second season, last episode, after Moriarty frames Sherlock and has everyone believe that Sherlock is a fake and Moriarty is just an actor he hired, *spoilers* Moriarty kills himself which puts the most beloved Mrs. Hudson and the adorable admirable John Watson in quite a lot of danger. Moriarty has snipers hidden and the only way to stop them is if Sherlock jumps off a building. Sherlock steps up on the ledge, looking down, John then arrives by taxi and Sherlock calls him telling him not to come up. Confused, John stays on the phone with Sherlock on the ground, waiting to see what Sherlock will do. Sherlock then tells John that he is a fraud and what everything he told John was fake and he made it all up. Sherlock then falls to his death, John tries to get to Sherlock because if you didn't know, John is a doctor.(Not The Doctor though) Tries to get to him, can't because of people blocking his way, Sherlock is sent off and is dead, they have the funeral a couple days later and stuff. Mrs. Hudson(Gosh, I love that lady) and John visit his grave, which is actually very pretty. They say a couple things, John says to the grave "The thing you could do right now... is not be dead." Once you thought the episode was over, you see Sherlock in the shadows watching John. A massive amount of tumblr had posts saying "I BELIEVE IN SHERLOCK" and "ALL MY CREEEYYYSSSS SHERLOCK", and my personal favorite, this gif:

It's Benedict Cumberbatch being angry at famous Doctor Who and Sherlock writer, Steven Moffat. Moffat is a troll and loves it when he drives fan over the edge because of something that he wrote in a show. Last time he drove people crazy, it was when no one knew who River Song was in Doctor Who. There's another writer though, Mark Gatiss, who people have nicknamed "Mark Godtiss" because he's such a beast writer that loves the fans of the shows. Nowadays, people think that they're trying to make the most loved consulting detectives, homosexual lovers. BUT that is quite impossible because Sherlock is supposed to be asexual or in love with Irene and John gets married... to a woman(Shocking, I know). Sherlock has to be one of the best shows I've ever seen and it honestly passes up Doctor Who. It's beautifully written, directed, and you can tell that Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss with the whole crew really put much effort into the show. Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant. Sorry if this post is just jumbley-wumbley words that look as if they have any importance of some sorts.

Watson and Holmes. Ship it. SHIP IT.

Wisdom Teeth

Last Friday around 9am, I had to go and get my wisdom teeth taken out. Only my top wisdom teeth though, just because a couple years ago when I was 12, I had a surgery done on my teeth and I had to get my bottom wisdom teeth taken out while they did other things that I can not remember. Since I've done oral surgeries more than once, I knew how it went and yet I was still terrified for some reason. The nurse(who was really sweet), put the mask over me so I could inhale and exhale the gas that makes you feel all wibbley wobbley and all that jazz. Just even the thought of that stuff makes me shudder, and yes, I hate it just that much and I never want to think about it ever EVER again. I drifted to a light sleep, where I could still talk and move my arms. My surgeon came in the room, and he's done pretty much most of my oral surgeries with a friendly "hello", then inserting the dreaded needle into my arm. Okay, one thing, I hate needles. I think I'd rather scream and run 3 miles than have someone put a needle in my arm. But I guess it was okay since he put numbing stuff on my arm before he inserted the dreaded needle. After that, a small, single tear arose from my eye and off I was in the mystical land of sleep.
When I woke up, the nurse moved me into the "recovery room" where you pretty much just lay there on a reclined chair and sleep or something. My parents talked to the nurse and surgeon, and since I was sorta really tired and trying to recover from being out for so long, I didn't know what they were saying. Lovely stuff., huh? We left and I dove head first into my Mom's small Nissan car and fell fast asleep with the gauze in my mouth. We reached home and I immediately went in my room and fell asleep again and my mom woke me up to change the gauze every hour. Hours later, I felt as if the surgery had never even happened. And today, I'm walking around and doing whatever I did before except I'm eating less and taking some medication.(speaking of which.... I should probably take some now.)
So. If you're wondering how bad it hurts when you get your wisdom teeth out, it doesn't. If you're out unconscious you're going to feel nothin' at all and remember to take your pain killers unless you're weird and like pain or something.

Anyway, I have another thing to talk about. My camera, Alaska, is going to the Canon Camera Hospital. Tegan, my 50mm lens won't come off, and on Thursday during lunch, my parents took me to 2 Creve Ceour Camera places to see if she could be fixed, and she can not. I must say that Thursday was probably the most frustrating and stressful day. I hope Alaska and Tegan will be okay. :(

This is what my camera looks like with the 50mm lens on it.

Forever Yours

"Forever Yours" by Alex Day is probably one of the best songs I've heard in today's music. Alex Day aka Nerimon from Youtube is trying to be the first unsigned artist to get to the Christmas #1 on any charts. So far, he's made it up to #4 on the UK Charts and #25 on the US charts.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOW2eEz9cYk

He has other versions of "Forever Yours" like "Charlie Went Mad Remix", the original demo version, the live piano version, an all-vocal version(my favorite other than the original!), a dramatic reading of the song by BillTv, and more! All the money that Alex gets from the song purchases goes to a charity called World Vision. I have a question for you, why haven't you bought "Forever Yours" yet?

Here's a link to the rest of the remixes:

Keep calm and DFTBA!

Chicago Tardiscon

One of the greatest weekends I've ever had! Let's hit the bad part. Thanksgiving. I don't mind holidays that much, but at times, I really wish I wasn't there and I was somewhere else. My family goes to my grandparents house every year, but this year, since my brother is in the airforce and he's down in Texas, they went to go see him. I had a choice of going down to Texas and seeing my brother or going to Chicago Tardiscon with friends and meet Benjamin "Red Lightning" Cook, or stay home and do nothing. Well, I decided to go to Chicago Tardis and I'm super glad that I went. The six hour drive wasn't as bad as I thought because after I finished a book, I had time to sleep and be awkwardly social and stuff. The last time I went to Chicago, I was on my way to England with my class so I was expecting us to hit a few places that I went to previously(like The Bean XD).

On Friday, we arrived around 1 which was earlier than when we were supposed to be there, but our room was already ready for us so it was fine. The room that the girls had, was really nice, and I take it that the boys room was nice as well.. I didn't dare go in there. Everyone wandered around the convention and panels were going on with the Peter Davidson, who was the Fifth Doctor, and Janet Fielding, who was one of the Fifth Doctor's companions, Tegan. I didn't get to meet Peter Davidson or Janet Fielding, but I got photos of them and went to one of their panels together. They seemed like really fun people to hang out with and meet. After a couple hours, we went to the Target that was right next to the hotel and bought random things like bottled water and sticky notes. When we came back to the hotel room, there was nothing to do so Camille made a TARDIS(Time And Relative Dimensions In Space) out of blue and yellow-ish white sticky notes which turned out fantabulously and we could see it from the parking lot! While Camille was doing that, Me and Mrs. Keifer were skyping some friends that couldn't make it to Chicago Tardiscon. We were all having laughing fits for 2 hours with them and that was so much fun talking to them and their randomness. After a couple hours, everyone signed off and we noticed it wasn't too late, so we went downstairs and got autographs from Benjamin Cook. Benjamin who? Benjamin Cook is a Doctor Who journalist that has interviewed the stars of Doctor Who and he's been working for the official Doctor Who magazine since he was 13 and he's now 29-ish. I have to say, he is probably my favorite celebrity-person because he is just that awesome and cooler than the bees knees.

The TARDIS and the Dalek in sticky notes! Thanks, Camille!

On Saturday, we walked around the vendors room and went to target a few times just to do nothing and whatnot. When my little group of friends walked around the convention, we stumbled upon fantastic cosplayers that have been to much bigger conventions and have done their own major panels. Fantastic people with fantastic cosplays. We didn't really do much, but there was a wedding reception going on with LOADS of dancing and my little group of friends were invited to it! Instead, we wandered around the hotel(in the wee late hours) and danced with a real Dalek, then looked for Benjamin Cook who had just got back from the Bean and dinner with Mark Sheppard. We found him, showed him the Dalek and the Tardis(and Kalli wrote "Ben! <3" in large letters above it), he obviously loved it. We then summoned the courage to ask him for photos, and yes, we did.

This is the best photo that was taken with him. Luther and Benjamin Cook
                                                       Everyone with Benjamin Cook!

When he left, we had nothing else to do, so we wanted to go to see the Bean. It took us 2-3 hours to find the car keys which were in a pants pocket on the floor the whole time. We ventured out around 3:30 in the morning to go to the mystical Bean. The people that were with me had never been to the Bean, so I practically had to drag them. KIDDING... kind of. We had our fun of random photo taking and laughing, prancing around the beautiful Bean until the security guard came up to us saying that the park closed at 11pm and opened 7 am or so. Much to our surprise, we laughed and went to 7-11 where we got drinks and whatnots to have and walked around the sleeping city. We saw people with their luggage wandering the streets(not homeless people), homeless people, workers putting up Christmas lights on the trees, and creepers (Which we tried to avoid). We skipped, walked, and frolicked through the empty streets laughing and whatnot looking at buildings laying on the ground, looked at random shops(because we couldn't go in). We went back to the hotel around 5am and went to sleep around 5:45.

We couldn't sleep in, so we had to get up bright and early at 10 am and immediately start packing for our trip home. We saw Ben one more time and attended a couple of his panels that he was in, we didn't get to say goodbye, but we tweeted him and he would reply. So, fun stuff.
That was my weekend a while ago in November. Benjamin Cook, Tony Lee, Robert Shearman, Kalli, David, Luther, Camille, Mr. and Mrs. Keifer, Target, the Bean, the security at the Bean, twitter, replies, and just a little "hello". Those are the best things about that entire weekend.

Pinecrest

If you go to Southgate Church and attend the teen youth group called Zap, you'll kind of know what I'm talking about. Every year around mid-November, Zap goes to a place about 3 hours away from South County, it's called Pinecrest. Pinecrest is a beautiful place with a lake, chapel, gym, indoor pool, mess hall, a meeting place, dorms, cabins, hotel-esque rooms, and many other retreat-y things. The reason why we go on this retreat, is to get away from our distractions and to get to know God and our beloved Zap members more. I've been going to Pinecrest for give or take 3 years now, and I think Saturday nights are the best in my opinion. But! We get to Pinecrest Friday night at 8pm, we worship, meet in our "pinecone" groups which are just mixed gender small groups, then we chill out and go to bed around 1 or so.

                                                                                 The Lake

Saturday, you can get up early if you want to, eat breakfast, chill out if you have time, worship, someone speaks, then pinecones, lunch, group activities(This year, we had bracelet making, ultimate throton, and Putt-putt golf) The bracelets that we made were for a good cause, to help the girls in this home that were used in sex trafficking.

After our activities, we had free time, in which mainly everyone played the "greatest game ever", Mafia. I have nothing against Mafia lovers, but when you play for 3+ straight, it gets REALLY old just simply being around you. Throughout the whole weekend, I think people played about 12 or so hours of Mafia. Ridiculous, right? Anyway, later, we do healing, message, and then chill out around the bonfire(but instead, mainly everyone went and played Mafia in the gym. Oh, deerlord, GAG ME.)

Sunday- It's good to be packed before breakfast even starts because you get more free time and you don't have to worry about your stuff not being packed when it's time to go. We do the usual(worhsip, message), then we reminisce about how another year at Pinecrest has come and gone just like that *snaps fingers*.

Even though at Pinecrest, you have your pros and cons:

Pros: Awesome food, gorgeous lake, friends, bonfires, getting closer to God, and just the fact that you can hang out somewhere other than at someone's house and chill out is awesome just by itself. Oh, and pranks.

Cons: Mafia, Mafia, Mafia, Mafia, oh, and did I mention Mafia? I'm kidding(but not really). Friends, the defeat of pranks, distractions of phones and ipods and whatever, and just feeling alone since you're so far away from home and your usual schedule. It's weird being away from home.

Maybe I should mention the pranks now? Yes? Awesome. So, it went this way- Guys got the guys, then the guys got the girls, girls got the guys, guys threw a smoke bomb, and the girls have yet to give them payback.
Guys got the guys- One side of the guys' cabin pranked the other side. So, they made the guys toilets overflow and messed with the shampoo.
Guys that got pranked get the girls- Guys that got pranked use the other guys prank, they made the girls toilets overflow, put chocolate syrup in their hairbrushes, emptied out a shampoo bottle and put chocolate syrup in that, put vinegar in the toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes, and sprayed axe all over the girls stuff.

The girls somehow took one of the boy ring leaders' toothbrushes and we put mayo and hair all over it.

We received a smoke bomb from the boys 20 minutes before lights out. Such a lovely present, right?
Our main girl leaders were furious, even the pinecone leaders were totally ticked off! It was interesting to watch the girls crowd around the doorways and watch one of the leaders talk to the guys about what they did.

Anyway, what I got out of this weekend, is that things go deeper and deeper when you really look and observe something. I received Psalm 19 and Psalm 22:14 from the spirit, here's a link for Pslam 19: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+19&version=NIV

Psalm 22:14
14 I am poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint.
My heart has turned to wax;
   it has melted within me.
15 My mouth is dried up like a potsherd,
   and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth;
you lay me in the dust of death.

To me, that verse is romantic and it's kind of how I feel when I worship God. I may be wrong, but whatever. It's just how He makes my heart melt and he molds me the way he wants me to be.
I have a feeling that this year at pinecrest is a new awakening in my life that I need to focus more on God than whatever I do with my time.

Question: What's God telling you to do?

Restless Movie Review

Tuesday night, I decided to see if there were any decent-looking movies on this website where I watch movies and shows all the time. I was simply glancing at the selection and stumbled upon a movie called "Restless". I thought that the movie cover was simply perfect and (obviously, since I'm a girl) it appealed to me because the couple(Enoch and Annabell), were really close and her bright red scarf was blowing in the wind.

Adorable, right?

The story is about this guy named Enoch Brae, and he goes to funerals uninvited, he is unemployed, and he is friends with a Japanese kamikaze ghost name Hiroshi. At a funeral, Enoch meets a young girl named Annabell who is attending her uncle(or cousins) funeral(they mentioned it once and left it at that.) You can tell that Annabell really likes Enoch, just by looking at him once. Enoch then gets in trouble with a pastor because he's shown up to a bunch of services that he's done, Annabell then comes and tells the pastor that Enoch is her "boyfriend" and they escape the awkward guy and chill out in the back. Enoch leaves, then sees Annabell at a cemetery the next day when he is with Hiroshi. They go for a walk, they talk, time passes and they fall in love. Annabell told Enoch in the beginning that she works at the hospital in the cancer treatment center, but she's really just a cancer patient and she has three months to live.

The story to me was really sweet and it was tender. It almost made me cry. Ferrealsies. I'm not a crier when it comes to movies, too. I loved the cute quirkiness in romance and interests that they shared and even though it was probably just another love story, it seemed different. Hiroshi was an amazing character to have in the movie even though he didn't really do much except be there for Annabell and Enoch when times were rough and they needed someone. Annabell, she's sweet and she really has no limits for anything. Enoch seems sheltered and he breaks out when he meets Annabell, then he's flying high.
I give the movie a 7/10 stars for the cute and quirkiness.

Question: What's your favorite movie of all time?

Dance off? I'm game!

Ever thought about war? Or what if the war was just a major dance battle? I think I'd actually get into politics if we had dance battles to settle differences. Just think about it!

America: Yo, Russia. Share some of your vodka.
Russia: No way, broski.
America: Why in the heck not? You have plenty.
Russia: Because I don't share my vodka.
America: Know what? This calls for a dance battle.
Russia: BRING. IT.

Meanwhile in "Normal Land", wherever that may be....

                                                                             .....he's forever alone....
